I am excited to begin another school year in the Demarest school district! I will be case managing as well as facilitating social skills groups and counseling at the Demarest Middle School and County Road School this school year.
In 2010, I graduated from Quinnipiac University where I received my B.A. in Psychology and Spanish. I continued my education at Rutger's University where I received my Master's degree in Social Work. During my graduate work, I was given the rewarding experience of mentoring and motivating students at the preschool, elementary, middle school, and high school level. As a social work intern, I worked collaboratively with parents, teachers and other professionals. Through social skills groups, as well as individual and group counseling, I was able to not only work with students, but more importantly inspire them to embrace their individuality and strengths. In the course of my training, I developed my understanding and passion for school social work.
